About Snapress
The world in a snap. Less noise. More news.
Most news apps want to keep you scrolling. Snapress is built to help you understand what happened and move on with your day.
We bring together reporting from trusted publishers, connect stories about the same event, and turn the important details into short, readable summaries. No endless feeds. No manufactured outrage. Just the news, made easier to follow.
What you're reading
Every story on Snapress is built from reporting published by news organizations around the world. We bring together coverage from outlets such as BBC, Reuters, AP, The Guardian, The New York Times, and other established publishers.
When several outlets report on the same event, our systems group related coverage into a single story. That means fewer duplicate cards and a clearer view of what is happening.
Each story starts with a concise summary, followed by key facts and a Why it Matters section. The goal is simple: help you understand the event, not just read another headline.
What we believe
“News should inform you, not manipulate you.”
We aim to keep Snapress free from clickbait, unnecessary sensationalism, and headlines designed only to win attention. We focus on what happened, what is known, and why it matters.
We don't believe every story needs a long explanation. But we do believe every important detail deserves to be treated carefully.
Our standards
Attribution comes first
Every story points readers toward its original reporting. We want you to know where the information comes from and have a way to read the full story.
Brevity without losing the point
Our summaries are short by design. They should make the news easier to understand, not strip away the context that makes it meaningful.
Multiple sources, one clearer picture
When different outlets cover the same event, we connect the reporting to reduce repetition and help readers see the bigger story.
AI with accountability
Our systems help us organize and summarize news. They are not a substitute for journalism, and they are not infallible. Important facts should always be checked against the original reporting.
Privacy by default
You should be able to read the news without creating an account. We aim to keep browsing simple, bookmarks local, and optional tracking subject to your consent.
Who's behind Snapress
Snapress is built and run by one person — Yuvraj Gurjar, an independent creator working to make news consumption faster, clearer, and more useful.
I'm interested in better ways to discover news, understand overlapping coverage, and spend less time sorting through noise.
This is still a work in progress. That means some things will change, some summaries won't be perfect, and I'll keep improving the system as I learn.
“The news is yours to explore. I just make it easier to get started.”
